I am a bit hockey obsessed lately. I've had several opportunities to shoot from the lower seats, so I am posting a lot. More of a variety coming soon.

Finally got a shot of Ovechkin against Carolina on April 1st. Huge game tonight versus Florida! Win the game and they will the Division! I will be there in Red. Go Go Caps!

The Real Nicklas Backstrom Stands Up...

nicklas_backstrom

Nicklas Backstrom of the Washington Capitals shows his stuff in a 10-2 victory over the Boston Bruins. What a great game. 12 games left in the playoff run...LET'S GO CAPS!

I was happy with the shot, but shooting a couple rows behind the glass was tough. Seems like most picture had the top of someones head, a post or sweat smear on the glass.

Marian Gaborik Warming Up...

Marian Gaborik of the Minnesota Wild warming up before facing the Washington Capitals. Fortunately for the Caps, it didn't help as the Wild fell 4-1.

The Other Niklas Backstrom...

_MG_7601

Would the real Nicklas Backstrom please stand up. Last night the Washington Capitals beat Niklas Backstrom of the Minnesota Wild 4-1 as the Caps push for a playoff spot. Had great seats in section 110, so I had the opportunity to shoot my favorite sport!

View from the 400s & A Question for Ted

_MG_6428

A shot from my seats at Verizon Center. Not a really dynamic picture, but I like the telescreen with Ovechkin streaking across! Four goals and five points last night against a venerable Montreal Canadians.

Maybe Ted will let a lifelong fan (since 1974) come down and shoot from the photographer's corner. How bout it, Ted? Thanks in advance.
